Also make sure the information on your item is crystal clear or else this may scare potential bids away as people aren’t sure what they’re getting for their money.

Set the opening bid/starting price really low (e.g a dollar); It’ll encourage healthy bidding, thus raising the perceived value and the final price.

Ooh, another pet peeve of mine is sellers not offering Paypal . There’s no reason why not to offer it, sellers not offering Paypal as a payment option can kiss my money goodbye.

Ditto, I completely skip an item without a photo. Just to add to the point Andy made, if your images are of decent quality (eg. good lighting, in focus…) then you’ll probably see better sales than items taken with crap camera phone images

Always, always, always list a photo of your item, preferably more than one from multiple angles. Whenever I’m bidding on an item I’m 100% more likely to bid if it has a real photo of it (not a stock photo!).
