I didnot like the idea of posting through MMS (for blogspot) though, as that is costly in India. Posting to wordpress.com is easier with a no frill page at m.wordpress.com available for it.

Cellphone cams can really be useful if you have blog to write in mind and want to fully describe it by taking picture and place it right next to your blog.
After many attempts I gave up on using the cell phone to blogging ! no more escape on the beach for now - and back to desktop

Great tips Andy…Not only the are the default blogger themes kind of ugly, but by getting a new one you are making your site look unique and special and not so cookie cutter.

I agree with all the points, especially never use the default theme. Try to find one that fits you and make changes to it to fit your style.
